How to Play Foosball Online with Friends

The most fun way to play online foosball is at the same table as your friends. In Foosball Online you need no download and no account for it: create a room, send the link, and your friends join from their browsers. This guide covers rooms, parties and the friends list.

Create a room and send the link

The quickest way to play with friends is to create a room. On the room browser press Create room, give it a name and choose the mode (1v1 to 4v4) and the score and time limits. Once the room is open, copy the link with the Invite button and send it to your friend; everyone who opens it sits at the same table.

No account is needed: guests can join with the link too. The match starts by itself with a five-second countdown once both teams are complete.

Password-protected and invite-only rooms

If you leave a room open to everyone, it shows in the lobby and Quick Play may seat strangers at it. If you make it invite-only, it shows neither in the lobby nor in Quick Play; only people who know the link get in. You can add a password as well: it is stored safely on the server and is never put in the link or in the logs.

Party: take everyone to the table together

Play with friends opens a party, and up to eight people who get the link can join it. The party leader picks what to play and everyone goes into the same match together. How you are seated depends on the size of the party:

  • Two people: 2v2 on the same team (strangers take the other side), or a private 1v1 against each other
  • Three people: two of you on one team, one across, and a stranger fills the missing seat
  • Four people: the whole table is yours, two teams of two, in a private match

The friends list

With a free account you add friends by username. You see whether they are online, in a match or in a party, can join a party with one tap and can invite friends who are online to your own party. Friends can also send each other private messages; messages exist between friends only and are never written to the server logs.

Chat and reactions during a match

You can type in the room chat or send quick messages ("Nice goal!", "Pass!", "Rematch?") and emoji reactions in one tap; messages show in everyone's own language. The host and the moderators the host picks can mute, remove or ban anyone who abuses the chat.

Spectators and rematches

People who arrive at a full table become spectators, follow the match live and take the first free seat when it ends. The result table shows everyone's goals, assists, shots on target and saves, and the host starts a rematch in one tap. A slow-motion replay plays after every goal, and you can watch a finished match again from the start with Watch the replay.

Questions about foosball with friends

Does my friend need an account?

No. Guests can join with the invite link. A free account is needed for the friends list, ranked matches and private messages.

How do we play on the same team?

In a 2v2 room you both sit on the same team, or you open a party of two and choose to play on the same team; strangers take the other side.

How many people can play at one table?

Up to eight, as 4v4. More people can watch the match live as spectators.

Can someone else use the invite link?

Anyone who opens the link can enter the room. To keep people out, add a password to the room, or remove and ban a player you do not want.
